So This Is How Curt Schilling Spends His Free Time Nowadays

It's been a good while since I last heard from my man, Curt Schilling, about the shenanigans regarding his bilking of the taxpayers in Rhode Island to the tune of $75 million. So I decided to browse his twitter feed to see if there were any updates. While I unfortunately didn't find anything about the 38 Studios fiasco, I did manage to get a consolation prize:

Yes, Schilling posted some bastardized Peanuts comic from a Facebook page called Libtards. Posting a random right-wing comic would generally be no big deal, but the fact that Schilling chose to post this particular one was interesting.

In the comic, Lucy plays the annoying liberal criticizing conservatives for being gun toting, racist, homophobic, sexist, religious fanatics. Admittedly pretty strong accusations. Linus, who plays the plucky, freedom loving Republican, cleverly responds by pointing out that liberals like Lucy seem to have no problem defending Muslims who seem to believe in the same things that Republicans do, thus proving that she (and by extension, all liberals) are hypocrites. HAHA, OWNED!

But while the point of the comic may have been to highlight the supposed hypocrisy of the left, what I found particularly amusing was the unintentional point it made. After hearing Lucy's accusations, you would think the proper response from Linus would be to dispute said accusations. But he doesn't do that. Instead, he basically admits that Lucy was correct with her indictments, but hey, the MUSLINS are guilty of the same things! In other words, his defense is that the MUSLINS are just as bad as they are!

This of course, once again demonstrates why Right-wingers should not be in the business of doing comics.
